APA – Austria Press Agency

APA is the independent Austrian news agency and is organised as integrated information company. APA provides the media, political institutions and corporations with news, information management solutions and IT-services. APA is owned by 16 Austrian dailies and the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF). They jointly guarantee the independence of the company and unbiased news reporting. One of the business-segments of APA deals with information technology in particular. APA-IT provides solutions of application engineering, oursourcing server & PC, media archives and broadcasting solutions to both its external and internal customers. APA-IT works permanently in research and development of knowledge based technologies.

Smart Information Systems develops digital decision-making assistants. Many internet applications and platforms provide complex information and services. The information published on the web and in various centralized databases is increasing and has therefore become more difficult to handle.

Using new intelligent methods ("Smart Assistant Technology") we provide digital assistants that are able to search for information and manage data on their own. Smart Information Systems combines innovative results from computational intelligence research with new approaches in human-machine-interaction.
