European Semantic Systems Initiative (ESSI)

The conference is organized with the support of the European Semantic Systems Initiative (ESSI), a group of four European Union projects in the area of Semantic Web and Semantic Web Services known as:

• Adaptive Services Grid (ASG)
• Knowledge Web (KWeb)
• Semantics Utilised for Process management within and between Enterprises (SUPER)
• Triple Space Communication (TripCom)

Each project specializes in certain aspects of the Semantic Web, such as building the infrastructure, developing and exploiting Semantic web-based knowledge technologies, enriching existing web services with semantic metadata and supporting the transition process of Ontology technology from Academia to Industry.
